TOHU THOKE
Burmese chickpea tofu salad is originated from Shan state. This tofu has nothing to do with Chinese tofu from soybeans because the former is made from chickpea flour or besan. Unlike the Chinese tofu which is commonly used in Thai dishes, Shan tofu is jelly-like but firm in light yellow color from turmeric powder.
We serve Tohu Thoke (thoke means salad in Burmese) with ground peanuts, roasted white sesame seeds, fried garlic, fried onions, ciltantro, spring onions, and sweet-sour-spicy chilli garlic-ginger sauce.

Homemade Noodles in Chicken Soup……………………………………….380 kgs
Thai noodle soup or Kuay Tiew (ก๋วยเตี๋ยว) is a popular street food for Thais and you will see street vendors selling it everywhere in Thailand. Thais have several types of Kuay Tiew and of the noodles used in Kuay Tiew too. Mostly the noodles are rice or egg noodles. Uncommon to have Thai noodle soup with wheat noodles.
This dish has a big influence from Chinese noodle soup with common ingredients such as soy sauce or dark soy sauce. However, the Thais prefer to have saltier soup or broth which is also more aromatic from cilantro, coriander seeds, celery, fried garlic and white peppers than the Chinese one containing more flavors of Chinese herbs. If you are a fan of Pho Bo, this dish definitely can compete with Pho Bo!
